Long Compton is about a seven minute drive from Shipston-On-Stour where our luxury Bed and Breakfast, The Old Kiln House is located. Long Compton is a lovely village surrounded by beautiful scenery and with the world famous Rollright Stones right next door.

On Sunday, after getting some rave reviews from guests,  we wondered over with CotswoldsCharlie (as it is a dog friendly pub). CotswoldsCharlie was given a huge welcome by the lovely manager Lisa and he was even more excited when he saw that there were Pig’s Ears on the menu.

What a brilliant meal and lovely environment. The decor is excellent; “country chic” with some lovely artworks dotted around.

We both had the lamb shank which was the best we have had in a long time. The service was excellent, friendly but discreet and the puddings topped off an outstanding lunch.

We have subsequently sent a lot of guests there and they have all thoroughly enjoyed it.

All in all an eleven out of ten experience!!!!

Tips: Ask for the window seat and get there early as the beef roast had sold out by 2:15.
