The Old Kiln House Breakfast – We take our breakfasts seriously!

We source our products locally but only if they are of a high standard. While travelling we have sometimes been disappointed by products used under the “local supplier” banner but fortunately for us, the Shipston area hosts many top quality producers. In summer breakfast is served in our garden and in the cooler months in the dining room which overlooks our enclosed bird garden. In winter you can have your breakfast next to a lit wood burning stove.

Full English Breakfast

Our full English consists of two eggs (however you would like prepared),
bacon, sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms and all locally sourced.

Bacon

Shipston is in the fortunate position of having two butchers and we source our back bacon from Taylors, a traditional family butcher.

Sausages

After using my husband to test as many sausages as possible, we have decided to serve the Old Farm Breakfast Sausage which we feel are delicious. Old Farm are located 5 miles from us in Dorn where the Righton family have been farming for three generations breeding sheep, cattle and their own Glamrock pigs. Their sausages are exceptional.

Fresh Free Range Eggs

We have to travel almost one hundred feet to buy our eggs every day. Our nearby neighbour who is a farmer travels home in his tractor every night and his wife sells eggs in the drive way. We love the taste and colour of these egg yolks.

Artisan Bread

Bread –We make fresh wholemeal and white bread every day. With prior notice we are happy to bake other breads as well. Gluten free options are also available.

Brazilian Coffee

We serve Brazilian blend coffee sourced and roasted by Monmouth Coffee who we feel have a unique outlook on coffee..

The Lighter Breakfast

Should you prefer a lighter breakfast we also offer muesli, granola, yoghurts and fruit. Our breakfast menu also includes smoked salmon and scrambled egg, boiled eggs and toast and omelet with fillings of your choice.

If you have any special dietary requirements please do let us know in advance of your stay with us.
